LG's curvy G Flex begins worldwide roll-out

LG's curvy G Flex is finally being shipped outside of Korea. It's on its way to Hong Kong and Singapore soon, but the rest of the world will have to wait longer.
LG has only been selling the G Flex in its home country of Korea up until now, but the curved OLED smartphone will be available for pre-order in Singapore from December 8 and will go on sale in Hong Kong on December 13. After those two countries have their launches, more will follow; "key markets in Asia" will have the G Flex before the end of the year, with other countries to follow.
We'd presume Australia is somewhere on that list since LG has been stepping up its game down under recently. European countries will probably also get the handset, and a US launch is all but confirmed.
The LG G Flex is an impressive piece of hardware, with a Snapdragon 800 processor and 2GB of RAM running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. Its screen is only a 720p panel, but the OLED technology used is particularly bright and has accurate colour reproduction across the curved 6-inch frame.
If and when LG's premier smartphone does make its way to Australia, don't expect it to be cheap. Online parallel importer Mobicity has stock of the G Flex, but it's a little too expensive for our tastes at AU$1099.95.
