LG G2 free on TalkTalk as LG attacks Samsung, Apple

The 5-inch LG G2 is available for free as LG recognises your phone -- and takes the mick out of it.

The 5-inch LG G2 may be an Android-powered powerhouse, but thanks to TalkTalk you can get it for free -- which hasn't stopped LG having a pop at Apple, Samsung and HTC.

The G2 is yours for no money up front on contracts starting at just £25 per month. That monthly pony gets you 100 minutes of chat, 250 texts, and 100MB of data for surfing the Web or streaming music and video.

That's the Small plan. An extra fiver a month for the Medium plan gets you 500 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB of data. The Large plan gives you unlimited calls and texts with 2GB of data.

Other networks offering the G2 include Three and O2, or you can get it without a contract for around £480. The 5.2-inch powerhouse is powered by a Snapdragon 800 processor with a 13-megapixel camera, 1080p video and a hefty 3,000mAh battery.

The G2 is also said to be the blueprint for the hotly-tipped Google Nexus 5, set to debut any day with the next generation of Android software, called KitKat.

Meanwhile, LG is targeting Samsung, HTC and Apple with online adverts that recognise your phone so they can take the mick out of it. Swedish phone fans visiting websites containing the smart LG ads are bombarded with popup messages lambasting their HTC One's battery life or their iPhone's smaller screen, then telling them why the G2 is superior. Cheeky.

Are you impressed by the LG G2 or is it too big? And what's the best phone deal going? Tell me your thoughts in the comments or on our Facebook page.
