That's what the latest reports are saying, this time out of the Asian Daily. Its suggesting that Samsung will have a limited-edition version of the Galaxy Note 3, complete with bendy plastic screen, as early as October.

The report said the phone might be called the Galaxy Note 3 Active and it'll be waterproof, but not entirely unbreakable.

Samsung has made a lot of noise about flexible screens in the past, and while the galaxy S4 family showed that the company is willing to work with a variety of sizes and hardware configurations, we're not too sure how likely we are to see a foldable Galaxy Note 3.

Of course, if we're talking about a screen with a good amount of flex, reducing the chance of damage from the phone being dropped or bashed ... well, that makes a lot of sense.

Either way, we'll find out whether Samsung really has been cooking up something cool when October rolls around.
