Internet voice telco ITXC beats the Street
ITXC on Tuesday reported a fourth-quarter loss of $10.3 million as the Internet telephony carrier beat Wall Street analyst projections by 5 cents per share. Excluding one-time costs, ITXC lost $10.3 million, or 24 cents per share, compared with a loss of $5 million, or 14 cents per share, during the same quarter a year ago. Financial analysts had expected a loss of 29 cents per share, according to First Call. Fourth-quarter revenue increased 149 percent, from $11.1 million last year to $27.6 million this year. ITXC executives said the number of minutes that its Internet telephony network was used increased 393 percent, from 72 million during the fourth-quarter last year to 355 million this fourth quarter.
