As of Monday's deadline, 97 percent of Lotus shares had been tendered for the sale price of $64 a pop.
The plan is to run the Cambridge, Massachusetts, company as an IBM unit. The company is best known for its Lotus 1-2-3 spreadsheet and Notes groupware software.
