Now, the company has made an unlikely team-up. Working with Bushmills Whiskey plus DJ Wooden Wisdom — the performing name of Elijah Wood and Zach Cowie — the company has made a range of limited-edition headphones from whiskey barrels.

According to The Verge, the US$395 headphones, called Bushmills x Grado, are crafted from "recycled white-oak bodies from the wood of old barrels" from the Bushmills distillery.

These are coupled with a leather headband, the obligatory presentation box and a nice velvet bag.

In terms of actual specs, the cans have dynamic transducers, with a frequency response of 16hz-26kHz and nominal impedance of 32 ohms.

The Bushmills x Grado headphones are exclusive to the US-based Turntable Lab, and, yes, it does have overseas shipping options.
