According to the Wall Street Journal, Google cofounder Larry Page, in his CES keynote this afternoon, will unveil a new package of software designed to provide a robust alternative to Microsoft's offerings. Slated to be included are:
- Google Desktop Search
- Google Earth (mapping)
- Google Picasa (image editing)
- Google Talk (IM)
- Google Toolbar
In addition, there will be contributions from third-party vendors, such as:
- Mozilla Firefox
- Symantec Norton AntiVirus
- Adobe Reader (PDF reader)
- RealPlayer (media player)
- Trillian (IM)
- Lavasoft Ad-aware (antispyware)
