The much-rumoured Google Nexus 4 smart phone along with a 10-inch Nexus 10 tablet are set to appear at Google's launch event on 29 October, according to an internal video being shown within Google.

Unsurprisingly, the Nexus 10 will be a 10-inch slate, apparently boasting a mammoth resolution of 2,560x1,600 pixels. That's the same screen spec previously hinted to our buddies across the pond so it's reassuring to see the same information turning up again. That stonking resolution would give the Nexus 10 a higher pixel density than the iPad's Retina display so I'm extremely keen to see how videos and images appear on this tablet.

The video also indicates the imminent arrival of the Nexus 4 smart phone. TheNextWeb -- who received the tip off about the video -- explained that the previously rumoured specs of the new blower are accurate. We're therefore expecting to see a 4.7-inch device with a 720p screen resolution. Under the hood should be a 1.5GHz quad core chip with a meaty 2GB of RAM.

Both new Nexus devices will be running the latest version of Android -- Android 4.2, that's also expected to debut at the event. While we're excitedly awaiting the arrival of Android Key Lime Pie, version 4.2 will apparently be an update to the existing Jelly Bean, rather than a completely new version.

An updated Nexus 7 tablet with 32GB of storage is also very likely to be unveiled, following numerous leaks and even an advert for it turning up in the Argos catalogue. TNW's source also indicated that a 3G-enabled model will also be making an appearance.

There certainly seems to be a whole buffet of treats in store for Google's event and with Microsoft's official unveiling of Windows Phone 8 taking place the same day, there's a lot to be excited for. We'll be making sure to bring you all the latest news as fast as our busy fingers can type it so make sure to keep it CNET UK.

What do you think to the Nexus 10? Can Google replicate the success of the Nexus 7, but on a bigger scale? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below or over on our Facebook page.
