Verizon Wireless will soon be selling the Droid Incredible 4G LTE from HTC. HTC

Rumor had it that the HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE was likely to hit July 5, but now it's official. Verizon just confirmed that the mighty little handset will show up in Verizon stores on Thursday for $149.99.

Ever since the first Droid Incredible arrived a few years back, this compact yet capable smartphone line has charmed many a handset buyer. The latest Incredible incarnation looks to be the best to date, equipped with a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and 4G LTE data connection.

While its 4-inch qHD super LCD screen isn't as large or full 720p HD like HTC's current One series phones, the new Incredible manages a more pocket-friendly size.

Some of the device's other goodies include an 8-megapixel main camera and a microSD card slot for extra memory expansion. The handset also will come with an NFC chip to support ICS's Android Beam feature and have Beats Audio processing on board.
