Network gear maker D-Link has begun shipping routers, PC cards and desktop PC adapters that can wirelessly access networks based on the 802.11b, 802.11a and 802.11g Wi-Fi specifications. D-Link's DI-864 router costs about $300 while its DWL-AG650 CardBus Adapter and DWL-AG520 PCI Adapter will run at about $100.

More and more network gear makers are beginning to ship dual-band, tri-mode products as the market prepares to combine Wi-Fi specifications in products to make it easier for consumers to access wireless networks.
