Cisco, Huawei suspend lawsuit--again

Networking giant Cisco Systems extended the suspension of its copyright lawsuit against Huawei Technologies another six months, according to court documents filed last week. , a Chinese manufacturer of networking and telecommunications equipment, in January 2003 for allegedly infringing several of its patents and copying its intellectual property, documents and other material.

Cisco first suspended the lawsuit in October 2003, after Huawei agreed to stop selling disputed products and submit modified gear to an independent expert for review. According to court papers, the two companies said they don't expect the review to be completed until July 2004.
