HTC could be working on a new handset code-named M8, according to recently leaked images.

TechRadar published on Thursday photos first uncovered on Taiwan-based site ePrice showing what the leaker says is the case for the HTC M8. The images show a design that's similar to that of the HTC One. However, unlike the HTC One, the M8's metal body extends beyond the edges. The HTC One has a break in the metal.

In addition to posting images on the M8, ePrice claims the handset will feature a 5- to 5.2-inch screen size and 3GB of RAM. It'll also have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor.

Rumors have been swirling around the M8 for months. Some reports suggest it's a standalone device, while others say it's the code name for the next HTC One model. Whatever the case, HTC has remained tight-lipped on any plans for its next smartphones, so it's important at this point to take the leaks with the proverbial grain of salt.
