Bose QuietComfort 35 II wireless headphones (new) are just $189 (Update: Deal expired)

The rose gold color has gone slightly lower once before, but this is the lowest we've seen the black 'phones drop to date.

Before, during and after earning his BA from Northeastern, he toiled in nearly every aspect of the food business, including as a line cook in Rhode Island where he once made a steak sandwich for Lamar Odom. Right now he's likely somewhere stress-testing a blender or the best way to cook bacon. Anything with sesame is his all-time favorite food this week.

Bose is at the top of the heap when it comes to audio, producing some of the best -- and some of CNET's favorite -- headphones. All that engineering comes at a premium price, however, so we're always on the hunt for a sale, and right now the QuietComfort 35 Series II are down around the lowest price we've ever seen. You can grab a pair of these black 'phones for just $189, a full $110 off the normal price.

We've only seen them drop a smidge lower once ($180), but that was in the rose gold color only. Amazon is selling the same set for $299 and a refurbished pair for essentially the same price as SideDeal's price for newbies. So, yeah, this is a very good deal on some very good headphones.

For a deeper dive on the Bose QC35 II, I'll hand you over to David Carnoy and his full Bose QuietComfort 35 II review. Spoiler alert: He loved them. Great sound, great comfort, great features and superb active noise canceling.

For comparison, there are also the newer Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 to consider. Carnoy found those to sound a touch better than the QC35s, but they'll run you nearly double this sale price. I don't know how much you're looking to spend on headphones but for most folks, the quality difference between these two sets will be far more negligible than the price.
