Volkswagen ID 4 electric SUV steps out in front of the camera

VW's ID 4 is a production-ready version of its ID Cross concept.

It was supposed to debut publicly at the 2020 Geneva Motor Show, but VW moved it to an online debut.

The top-tier ID 4 will use its slippery body shape to cruise up to a claimed 310 miles (on the WLTP cycle).

Unlike VW's other ID car, this one -- like Eddie Murphy in his best film -- is coming to America.

VW says the ID 4 will be out later in 2020.
