>> Hi, I'm Jasmine France senior associate editor for CNET.com and I'm here today with the Philips FA 6000 series or more specifically in this case the FA6045. Of course, you can't really tell the difference between this and the other ones in the series because they all look exactly the same. The only difference is the model number and the capacity. This is a four gigabyte version there is also a two gigabyte and a one gigabyte version. And, they're all pretty reasonably priced. They're not the cheapest on the market. The four gigabyte for instance will go for about 140 dollars online. Now, as you can tell this is not the smallest flash player in the world. It's actually pretty weighty. It feels good overall. The only complaint I have about this design is the kinda cheap feeling control pad. But, it is really easy to use and it has a really nice 2.2 inch color screen and video looks absolutely great on it actually. It's, you know, a bit too small, I think, for extended viewing plus the headphone jack with the headphones plugged in kinda gets in the way of propping it up. But if you're just watching short clips this is a great bonus on this MP3 player. It also has a built in voice recorder and an FM tuner. So, it has lots of features on here. And of course, you get the photo viewing as well. It will support MP3 files and WMA files including protected and subscription tracks that you buy and rent from stores online. Up here on the top, we have the dedicated volume toggle. We always like that. And around the side, there's a kind of an interesting feature I don't really see and this is a play list button. And the play list actually will add whatever currently playing track you have to your on the go play list. So, I think that's a really handy feature. On the bottom side here, we have the standard headphones, standard mini USV, and the ever handy hold switch. Overall, this is a pretty nice player for the price. It has good sound quality though not the best. But again, I think it's a great player if you're looking for just a fully featured MP3 player that has nice video playback as an added bonus. This has been the Philips FA 6000 it's a good choice. I'm Jasmine France for CNET.com.
