This is what happens when a Subaru WRX STI meets a bobsled run
In case you can't tell, insanity is what happens. Awesome insanity.
Haven't you always wanted to take a car down a bobsled run?
If you do, you might want to let your body shop know ahead of time.
Subaru went to the bobsled run at St. Moritz and plopped a WRX STI on the track.
The STI was loaded with a bunch of safety equipment for its driver, Mark Higgins.
The wheels were outfitted with some gnarly spiked tires, to help maintain traction.
Once the car started moving, though, it was clear there wouldn't be much traction anyway.
Despite the spikes, the car careened between ice walls, slamming back and forth.
It eventually made a wide, nearly vertical turn before wall-riding on its roof.
The early runs provided little drama, but keep scrolling through the pics to see what happened later on.
I don't think you're going to see this one in a used car lot any time soon.
