2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid Sport Touring Is a Solid Compact Crossover
Honda's new CR-V is good, but it's even better when mated with the updated hybrid powertrain.
The 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid is available exclusively in the Sport and Sport Touring trim levels with black grille and window trim.
Honda expects that about half of the CR-V Hybrids sold will have all-wheel drive, which is standard on Sport Touring and optional on the base Sport model.
The new CR-V is 2.7 inches longer than last year, 1.6 inches of which are within the longer wheelbase.
The two-motor hybrid system's output has grown to 204 horsepower and 247 pound-feet of torque.
All of the additional torque comes from improvements to the electric traction motor and its power control units.
Honda has also boosted the strength of the regenerative braking system, allowing for a pseudo-one-pedal driving feature.
The larger CR-V Hybrid falls just 1.2 cubic feet of cargo space short of the non-hybrid model due to the battery pack.
