2017 Chevrolet Camaro 1LE is a good-lookin' track beast
It comes with your choice of a V6 or V8 engine, and boy does it look sweet.
The 1LE Camaro is available as both a V6 and a V8.
The V6 gets 335 horsepower plus the suspension from the Camaro SS plus Goodyear Eagle F1 run-flat tires capable of maintaining grip to 0.97g, Brembo brakes, an upgraded cooling system for the engine, transmission and mechanical differential plus two outboard coolers.
The 455-horsepower V8 1LE gets the suspension with magnetic ride control from the ZL1 Camaro as well as Goodyear Eagle Supercar tires, good for 1.02g, bigger Brembo brakes, an electronic limited-slip differential and the same upgraded track cooling system as the V6 1LE.
The V6 1LE has three different driving modes: Tour, Sport and Track.
The V8 ups the driving modes with the addition of Snow/Ice.
Regardless of powertrain, the 1LE puts power to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission.
The 3.6-liter V6 goes from 0-60 miles an hour in 5.2 seconds and runs the quarter-mile in 13.7 seconds at 102 miles per hour.
The smaller engine is good for 335 horsepower and 284 pound-feet of torque.
The larger V8 1LE goes from 0-60 miles per hour in 4.2 seconds and runs the quarter mile in 12.5 seconds at 115 miles per hour.
The 6.2-liter V8 engine knocks out 455 horsepower and 455 pound-feet of torque.
