Moto X official images leak, see it in black and white

What looks like an official snap of the long-awaited Moto X has leaked, showing it off in both black and white.

Well looky what we have here. These appear to be official pics of the fabled Motorola Moto X, the next flagship smart phone from the Google-owned company. I say "appear to be" because the handset hasn't been announced yet, despite leak after leak, and even Google's Eric Schmidt going waving one around. The gadabout.

The images come courtesy of @evleaks, and square up with the previous official-looking glimpse we had of the Moto X. Click through to the next page to see the phone in white.

As you can see, that's one mighty thin bezel. It doesn't look that different from the Samsung Galaxy S4, in fact. And it's pretty slim, too. Not Huawei Ascend P6 slim, admittedly. But still far from fat.

The Moto X's specs leaked last week. If they're on the money, the handset will have a 4.5-inch screen, and inside will lurk a 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8960T processor, alongside 2GB of RAM. Which would put it up there with the most powerful smart phones around.

That shell is Kevlar, too, and the back will be removable, according to the leak.

On the software side of things, it'll run a "near stock" version of Android 4.2.2, rather than Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie, as we heard previously. But then it could run Android 4.3, which Google unveiled earlier in the week, alongside the new Nexus 7.

Some screenshots of the Moto X's camera also leaked this week, and -- if they're real -- you'll be swiping to get to the settings, where you can access a slow-motion video capture mode. Flick your wrist twice in any mode, meanwhile, and the camera app will open. Handy.

Are you looking forward to the Moto X? What would you like to see it do? And can it bring Motorola back to its former greatness? Let me know in the comments, or flick your wrist over to our Facebook page.
