Speaker 1: Did you know that you could extend or mirror your Mac to your iPad? Well, you can, and it's extremely useful if you're out on the go working and you want to extend your screen space, or if you want to mirror your screen to an iPad for a client in this video, I'm gonna show you everything. You need to set it up in order to connect your two device ice is using sidecar. But before we get into that, here's a list of supported models of max and iPads. If you've got one of these and your OS [00:00:30] is Catalina or above on your Mac and iOS 13 on your iPad, or later, then you are good to go. So let's get into it first. You wanna make sure that you're signed to the same iCloud account on both the Mac and the iPad on the Mac go to the apple system preferences and right on top is where you'll be either signed in or need to sign into your iCloud account.
Speaker 1: Next you'll want to go to general and then make sure that allow handoff between this Mac and your [00:01:00] iCloud devices is check on next on your iPad. Go to settings on top is where you'll want to be signed into iCloud next, go to general airplay and handoff and turn handoff on. You'll also need to make sure that both the Mac and the iPad have Bluetooth turned on and are connected to the same wifi. Now that you've got that set up, you are good to go. You'll want to head to airdrop on the top, right of your computer. If you've got one of the new max it's located in the control center [00:01:30] here is where you go to display and then you can click on your iPad. Here's where you have access to either use it as a separate display or mirror it for now. I'll extend now on the iPad, you have full access to your dock and can place windows on the screen. You can use the touch screen to scroll, but you won't be able to use the touch screen to click. You'll still need to use either a mouse or track pad from your Mac switching between Mac and iOS is super easy. Just swipe up from the bottom [00:02:00] to go back, do the same and tap on the side car app. And there you have it, a larger workspace for more Mac tips.
