It's not the boldest new gaming laptop design out there, but the Alienware m15 gets the basics right while evolving past the bulky look of older models.
It's not as much of a conversation piece as the tank-like Alienware 18, but the slimmer, lighter Alienware 17 is arguably more practical for serious gamers with realistic budgets.
Dell has revamped its gaming line, including the new Alienware 14. The design changes don't go nearly far enough, but no complaints about the performance.
The bold Alienware Alpha makes good on many parts of its promise to meld the gaming PC and living room game console, but there are still too many rough edges to make this a true console killer.
Plug your favorite PCIe graphics card into this sold-separately breakout box for a performance boost.
Our configuration of the revamped Alienware M17x is expensive, but it's not bad value for money, considering the awesome components that lurk within. The Intel Core i7 CPU seems to really make a difference in terms of performance, and everything's wrapped up in a very stylish chassis
Alienware's m17 makes respectably few design sacrifices despite cramming huge power into a relatively thin frame.
For something truly different and eye-catching, the OLED display on this "limited edition" Alienware 13 gives it great visual punch, but keep in mind this is not a top-end gaming rig.
A solid if somewhat uninspiring gaming laptop, the Alienware 15 is a good choice when you need fast performance but not the big screen.

The M17x is a glorious piece of kit. The sheer size of the thing means that it isn't for everyone, but for those who want outrageous gaming ability from their laptop, this is it. Unless you get the bigger one ...
We still love the M11x, but with the ever-marching pace of technology, we'd like to see it go on a diet, get a better screen and a much better touch pad and buttons for the R4. And maybe, just maybe, make use of the currently pointless 3G slot.
Alienware's M11x is an incredibly impressive laptop at a temptingly affordable price. About the only thing we can find fault with is the ridiculous 100Mb Ethernet port and the inclusion of a SIM slot that does nothing. If these don't bother you, then this pint-sized yet potent laptop will likely make you happy for years to come.
The m9700 is without a doubt an extremely capable laptop that'll crush most of the competition. Twin 512MB 7900GS SLI graphics did impress at medium resolutions, but can clam up when maxed out on today's most demanding titles. Still a good machine, but you may want to consider a more basic spec to save some cash
With an OLED touch display, VR-ready graphics, and a reasonably portable 13-inch body, the new Alienware 13 hits almost every item on my gaming laptop wish list.
