If you replaced the "3" in "OR3" with a "B," you'd have an apt description of this speaker: It's an orb, not some boring old brick. This particular orb is black with a blue (racing?) stripe, a dad-friendly design if ever I saw one.
The speaker has onboard play/pause/pair/skip controls and can run for up to 16 hours on its rechargeable battery. It doubles as a speakerphone and comes with a drawstring carrying case. I particularly like the 3-year warranty.
However, it's not clear whether the OR3 incorporates Bluetooth 3.0 or 4.0. AccessoryGenie's product page lists the former, but over at Amazon it shows the latter. It doesn't matter all that much, but just to confuse matters, GoGroove's own product page says Bluetooth 2.1! (Let's average it out and call it 3.0.)
Speaking of Amazon, well over 500 customers gave the OR3 an average rating of 4.2 stars, and some 50 AccessoryGenie customers rated it five stars almost across the board. About a year ago I gifted one of these to my awesome brother-in-law Bill, who's as big a music fan as they come. It was his first Bluetooth speaker, and he totally loved it.
