Trackside with the 2020 Lexus RC F Track Edition
With an emphasis on lightweight construction and more driver focused performance, this sharpened Lexus RC F feels more at home on the circuit.
This is the 2020 Lexus RC F Track edition!
No, your eyes don't deceive you, that's an unpainted carbon fiber hood on there.
Just one part of the significant weight savings, cutting some 176 pounds over the standard car.
Also, you get a big silly wing.
A titanium exhaust also helps with the weight savings, and gives the RC F a serious bark to match its bite.
We drove the Track Edition at Thermal in Palm Springs, California, a tight and twisty track that was ideal for sampling the optional torque-vectoring rear differential.
That, plus the weight savings made for a car that's far more direct feeling than the standard RC F.
The interior on the Lexus is comfortable and supportive, but that infotainment interface still won't be for everyone.
If you want this kind of performance, you'll have to pay for it. The standard RC F starts at $65,775. This Track Edition? $97,675.
That's one expensive options package, but then those changes go a lot deeper than just an extra coating of carbon.
