Toyota is trying to re-enter the rear-wheel-drive sports car market with the GT86.

The GT86 is the first RWD Toyota sports car for aaaaaages.
Co-developed with Subaru, it's been causing quite a stir.
It uses a Subaru 2.0-litre Boxer engine.
Its power plant is low slung for better weight distribution.
It pushes out 197 bhp -- not masses of power, but enough for some fun.
The whole car has "86" details all over it...
...the exhuast pipe is 86mm wide...
...there are "86" badges all over it, too.
