This is how Bugatti builds the Chiron at its Molsheim facility
In the event you find yourself purchasing a Bugatti Chiron, here's a quick rundown of the ordering and assembly process, from start to finish.
It all takes place here, at Bugatti's facility in Molsheim, in the Alsace region of France.
The first stage is configuration.
Bugatti offers 23 different topcoat shades, eight different carbon-fiber finishes, 31 leather colors, eight Alcantara colors, 30 stitching options, 18 carpet colors and even 11 different seat belt hues.
After the lengthy customization process finishes up, it'll be about 6 months until assembly is complete.
Before assembly begins, Bugatti test-fits the chassis and substructure to ensure everything lines up perfectly.
Following that, the components are sent off to paint.
Now it's really time to hustle.
The chassis marriage step connects the monocoque (chassis) to the rear end with 14 special titanium bolts.
Now it's time for the pipes to be routed and the fluids to be filled.
