The Rinspeed Oasis concept is a funky living room on wheels
Packing augmented-reality windows, a delivery box and even a freaking garden, THIS is how a concept car should be.
Concept cars are supposed to be funky, right? Well, this one certainly is.
This is the Rinspeed Oasis, destined for this year's CES trade show in Las Vegas.
It's electric and autonomous and meant for sharing.
It's only got two seats, but it maximizes interior space for those two occupants.
The windshields act as augmented-reality devices when the car is driving autonomously.
The rear window becomes a display, because delivery services can drop parcels off inside the car.
When it's not in use, it can broadcast its availability to locals who may need a ride across town.
Rinspeed calls it an R2 droid on wheels, and it's not far off from that.
I don't think it's allowed on the sidewalk, though.
You can check out the Oasis concept in person at both CES and the Detroit auto show in early 2017.
