The Jeep Wrangler sprouts a four-door option for the JK generation

The JK Jeep Wrangler launched for the 2007 model year.

The two-door model was 5.4 inches wider than the previous TJ-generation vehicle.

At launch, a 3.8-liter V6 with 205 horsepower and 240 pound-feet of torque provided power.

A six-speed manual came standard for all Wrangler models. 

For customers who wanted their Wranglers with two pedals, a four-speed automatic was optional. 

Wranglers were available in X, Sahara and Rubicon trim levels at launch.

The JK Wrangler generation was the first to offer a four-door model.

The four-door model carried the Unlimited name.

In 2012, the 3.8-liter was replaced by a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine.

The Pentastar V6 churned out 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque.
