The Hyundai Elantra Sport is just like your average Elantra, except, you know, sportier
Featuring a more powerful engine and an honest-to-goodness six-speed manual, the Elantra Sport is the, erm, sportiest version of Hyundai's compact sedan to date.
Hyundai's adding a bit of both show and go to the Elantra with the new Elantra Sport.
Its engine is a 200-horsepower, 190-pound-foot, 1.6-liter turbocharged I-4.
It mates to the buyer's choice of a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox or a six-speed manual.
To add a bit more performance cred, the Elantra Sport features a multi-link-style rear suspension.
The bodywork features a bit more aggression.
Thankfully, Hyundai didn't go over the top, style-wise.
The interior's been tweaked slightly, too, to include a flat-bottom steering wheel.
However, the company isn't giving out more details than that at the moment.
We'll know more about the car closer to its fourth-quarter on-sale date.
Pricing is still TBD.
