The 2018 Mercedes-AMG E63 is an absolute beast, full stop
With 603 horsepower and a "Drift Mode" that turns all-wheel drive into rear-wheel drive, the new E63 is the missile you've been waiting for.
Want to drive an absolute beast of a luxury sedan? The 2018 E63 is for you.
The E63 comes in two distinct flavors. The "standard" E63 puts out 563 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque.
Step up to the E63 S and those figures rise to 603 horsepower and 627 pound-feet. Yowza.
The E63 will reach 60 mph in 3.4 seconds, while the E 63 S will do it in 3.3.
Both cars come with a nine-speed automatic and standard all-wheel drive.
But before you cry about the loss of rear-wheel drive, you might want to check out Drift Mode.
Engaging Drift Mode (standard on E63 S, available on E63) sends 100 percent of the car's power and torque to the rear axles.
It's only available with manual shifting and no stability control, hence the "Drift" part of Drift Mode.
Either way, it'll knock your damned socks off. It's the most powerful E-Class ever built.
The car will be unveiled (again, I guess) at the LA Auto Show this November, and it will hit dealerships in summer 2017. In the meantime, keep scrolling to check out more E63 pictures from Mercedes!
