Touted as the most sophisticated Chevrolet in Brazil, the new Trailblazer is capable and loaded with much of the same equipment that you'd find in the latest US vehicles.
The previous-generation Trailblazer, which we also didn't get in the US, looked similar to the current US-spec Chevrolet Equinox.
It would stand to reason, then, that the forthcoming new Equinox might share some aesthetic similarities with the car you see here.
However, this Trailblazer is limited to Brazil, and it's probably not getting much closer to the US than that.
Never say never, though. Given the US' rekindled love for large trucks and SUVs, thanks to cheap gas, there might be a business case for another body-on-frame behemoth.
The Trailblazer rides on the same frame as the midsize Chevrolet Colorado pickup.
This Trailblazer packs two different engine options -- a 279-horsepower V-6 or a 200-horsepower diesel I-4.
The interior features Chevrolet's MyLink infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity.
At the minimum, I'd be surprised if that front end's general aesthetic didn't make its way to US-spec, midsize crossover vehicles.
No matter if it does or doesn't, it's a pretty slick look.
Did I mention that I gleaned all this from Google Translate? I don't speak Portugese.
