Shift your slushbox like a manual with Toyota's GR HV Sports concept
It's the coolest automatic transmission in existence.

You've never seen an automatic transmission like this.
The Toyota GR HV concept blends a hybrid with a sports car.
The body comes from the GT86, but it's been updated with some wild fasciae based off the TS050 Hybrid racecar.
There's also an electronically operated targa top, because why not?
Normal shift functions are done on the center stack using buttons.
But if you flip to manual mode, you can row through an H-pattern set of gates just like a manual transmission.
The car's start button is hidden in the shift lever, which is yet another cool touch.
The battery is mounted midship to keep the weight distribution as even as possible.
It wouldn't surprise me if this transmission made it to either the GT86 or its successor.
Keep your eyes peeled to Roadshow, because we'll be on the ground in Tokyo at the end of October.
