2018 Porsche 911 GT3 promises plenty of naturally aspirated power
With a new 4.0-liter flat six engine, the 991.2 GT3 remains a naturally aspirated delight.
Those of you bemoaning the addition of turbochargers to the 911 lineup will be happy to know the GT3 keeps natural aspiration.
It does, however, tote a new motor.
Its new 4.0-liter flat six engine puts out 500 horsepower and 339 pound-feet of torque.
That's a 25-horsepower bump over the outgoing model.
Standard performance equipment includes rear axle steering and dynamic engine mounts.
While it is a new GT3, it doesn't look too different from the old one.
That big ol' wing isn't going anywhere.
The interior borrows its steering wheel from the 918 Spyder hypercar.
Standard tech includes Porsche's Connect Plus Module, which adds Apple CarPlay, real-time traffic information and other connected services.
The new GT3 goes on sale later this year, and the MSRP is $143,600.
