Playing in the snow with the Polaris Timbersled

This is the Polaris Timbersled.

It's a conversion kit that turns just about any dirtbike made in the past 20 years into a perfect snow machine.

As you can see, both the front and rear wheels are replaced.

At the back, you get this beefy, treaded contraption.

An internal chain drive distributes the power.

And Fox shocks handle the damping duties.

Up front, it's a beefy ski to keep you floating through the soft stuff.

The kit we rode was applied to a 450cc Husqvarna dirtbike.

But once all this is added, you'd hardly recognize it.

The Timbersled is a real monster in the snow, and a total joy to ride.
