This is it: the 2015 BMW X6 M!
It is a 567-horsepower, "sports activity vehicle" that BMW wants to be as happy on the track as the road.
The car is quite similar to the X5, the biggest change being the coupe-like profile at the rear.
The interior, though smaller than the X5, is a very nice place to be.
The car features an eight-speed transmission, and the latest version of BMW's iDrive and BMW Connect systems.
Sport seats are power-adjustable every which way, heated and cooled, and quite comfortable whether racing or cruising.
The new display has greater contrast than in years previous, and less glare.
Under the hood is a twin-turbocharged, 4.4-liter V-8 which again puts down 567 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque.
The same performance can be achieved from the X5 M, but with a significant boost to cargo space.
Massive six-piston calipers haul the thing down.
Though the X5 has more room in the back, the X6 isn't exactly lacking.
Here's the 4.4-liter monster, exposed to the world.
And look at that six-piston caliper, which is a massive lug of metal.
Beneath the car, the complex series of differentials and systems that put the power to the ground.
