Mercedes Concept A Sedan sports wild triangular headlights

Well, this is quite the pretty sedan.

The Mercedes-Benz Concept A Sedan previews a new design language for future M-B compact cars.

The silhouette is pretty close to the current CLA-Class sedan.

It's clear that Mercedes-Benz is still intent on applying coupe-like roofs to everything.

The front end is reminiscent of the AMG GT Concept super-sedan.

Don't expect this little guy to pack the AMG GT Concept's 800-horsepower output, though.

Those headlights really are something else.

Despite being a concept car, the wheels are pretty well proportioned, and the side mirrors are actual mirrors.

You'll find significantly fewer creases on this concept, which you should expect to see on later M-B models.

These wild headlights, along with the rest of the car, will be on display at the Shanghai Auto Show starting this week.
