Mercedes-Benz Ener-G-Force concept forecasts electric G-class (pictures)
For the Los Angeles Design Challenge 2012, Mercedes-Benz came up with the Ener-G-Force, a tough, futuristic truck running on electricity.

Mercedes-Benz designed the Ener-G-Force concept for the Los Angeles Design Challenge 2012, basing it on a future G-class.
The Ener-G-Force uses LED headlights, and Mercedes-Benz designed them in the shape of G's to echo the model name.
In-wheel electric motors propel the Ener-G-Force, and color indicators in the side skirts show the state of battery charge.
A pan on top of the car collects water, which can be converted to hydrogen with an onboard electrolyzer, to store in overhead tanks.
The compartment formerly storing a spare tire is converted into a locker with the Ener-G-Force.
The original concept was designed as a future law-enforcement vehicle.
