Like the SLK 55 AMG Black Series and the CLK 63 AMG Black Series before it, the SL65 AMG Black Series is ultrahigh performance and ultraexclusive.

The wide bodywork creates a dramatic stance, but the true purpose is to allow a wider track and to fit wider tires.

Beneath this vented carbon fiber hood is a 6-liter V-12 biturbo engine that outputs 670 horsepower and 738 pound-feet of torque.

The front wheels are 19-inches and the rears are 20-inches. All four corners are wrapped in wide R-rated tires.

The SL65 Black hits 100kph (62mph) in 3.8 seconds before blasting off to an electronically limited 198 mph.

The SL65 Black's interior literally puts the black into the Black Series, with extensive use of black Nappa leather and alcantara with carbon fiber trim.

The navigation features a 6.5-inch color screen with Bluetooth, SD memory cards slot, and 40GB hard drive. An iPod, USB stick or other external audio devices can be plugged into into the COMAND system via the media interface.

Further down the dash, we see shifter for the AMG SpeedShift Plus five-speed automatic gearbox and, below that, the COMAND controller.
