Kia shows a different sort of supercar at SEMA 2012 (pictures)

Aquaman usually spends his time righting wrongs beneath the waves, but if he needs to get somewhere on land, Kia has a set of wheels for him in this Rio 5-door.

In addition to a custom graphic scheme that matches Aquaman's gold and green costume, this Rio also features fishy fins on the wing mirrors and the side skirts.

The rear hatch is blocked by a panels covered in pages from Aquaman comic books and a three-dimensional trident icon.

Viewed through the yellow tinted glass, the custom green and gold interior looks a bit sickly.

The Flash is the fastest man alive, so his ride needs to be something sporty and quick. The Forte Koup will have to do, I suppose.

The Forte Koup gets a red, Flash-inspired paint job with lightning graphics running (heh) down its side.

Red LED lights accent the headlamps. It's difficult to tell in these photos, but the white background of the Flash's emblem is subtly backlit as well.

This isn't the first time that we've seen this Batman-inspired Kia Optima SX -- it was unveiled in New York a few weeks ago. However, the matte-and-gloss dual finish is impressive in person.

All of the Justice League-inspired cars feature small touches, like these tiny Bat-symbols in the Optima SX's headlamp projectors.

These cars are part of a series of custom rides that benefit the We Can Be Heroes charity.

Surprisingly, the Green Lantern-themed Kia Soul features more black paint than emerald. Graphic accents and tint add just enough green to not be overbearing.

The Soul has the rest of the Justice League Kias beat on quantity of icons. I counted at least eight Lantern logos on my first walk-around -- found on the wheels, exhaust tips, and fog lamps.

The Green Lantern Soul isn't my favorite Justice League Kia of the group, but I do like the aggressive fender flares that surround the stylized wheels.

This Forte five-door is inspired by the Justice League's Cyborg. It features some heavy cladding around the headlamps and red illumination in the hood scoop and under the body.

Inside, Cyborg's Forte features red upholstery and metallic-silver accents.

The trunk is filled with a massive LCD screen displaying panels from Cyborg's comics appearances. Just below that screen are four JL Audio subwoofers.

With Batman, Aquaman, Cyborg, the Green Lantern, and the Flash under its belt, Kia's only got Superman and Wonder Woman left to complete its Justice League roster.
