Hyundai showed off a plug-in hybrid concept car called the Blue-Will Monday. It can run 20 to 40 miles on battery power alone.

Hyundai Blue-Will steering 'wheel'

It's hard to call it a steering wheel, but you get the idea. Controls are mounted to the central pillar. A swooping console leads from a screen to the transmission selector.

Blue-Will back seats

Look for buckets--not a bench--in the back seat of the Blue-Will. In between is a raised ridge, conspicuously labeled "lithium-ion battery," even though the Blue-Will comes with a lithium polymer battery from LG Chem.

Blue-Will's blinking LEDs

The Hyundai Blue-Will has blinking LEDs in its grille, here showing just the Hyundai logo. It also could show "emergency" and other messages. The charging station cable plugs directly into the car's front badge.

Hyundai Blue-Will front seats

It's a concept car, so don't expect these thin, swoopy seats to show up in whatever production vehicle might come from the Blue-Will effort.

I Got an Early Look at Intel's Glass Packaging Tech for Faster Chips
Rahul Manepalli, right, Intel's module engineering leader, shows a glass substrate panel before it's sliced into the small rectangles that will be bonded to the undersides of hundreds of test processors. The technology, shown here at Intel's CH8 facility in Chandler, Arizona, stands to improve performance and power consumption of advanced processors arriving later this decade. Glass substrates should permit physically larger processors comprised of several small "chiplets" for AI and data center work, but Intel expects they'll trickle down to PCs, too.
