Hyundai FE Fuel Cell Concept previews Korea's hydrogen future
Boasting a fuel cell with improved performance and looks straight from a sci-fi novel, the FE Fuel Cell Concept will lead the next generation of Hyundai's hydrogen efforts.

Looks like the future, right?
That's because it is.
The Hyundai FE Fuel Cell Concept gives us a look at the next hydrogen-powered Hyundai to hit the market.
Hyundai's next-generation fuel cell technology is slated to hit the market in 2018.
Its new fuel cell is 20 percent lighter and 10 percent more efficient.
Improved cell stack density should add about 30 percent to the overall range, compared to the 285-mile Tucson Fuel Cell currently on sale.
While it might be too overeager to expect a new model with this new fuel cell, the concept certainly hints at a hydrogen-powered crossover, instead of a sedan.
The only trouble is infrastructure -- there isn't much of one in the US, or anywhere else for that matter.
The interior is positively futuristic, helped in no small part by all that blue ambient lighting.
The concept features portable battery packs and a scooter charging port, which take advantage of the electricity produced by the hydrogen fuel cell.
