On the night of Tuesday May 13, Honda's ASIMO robot conducted the Detroit Symphony Orchestra to draw attention to the orchestra's music education programs for disadvantaged youth.

Conductor ASIMO
Last year we saw ASIMO dance and tell jokes that would make even Wil Anderson cringe. On Tuesday night ASIMO led the Detroit Symphony Orchestra in a rendition of "Impossible Dream (The Quest)", the song by Andy Williams which was used in one of Honda's award winning ad campaigns, as a prelude to a concert with cellist Yo Yo Ma.

Thanks to the wonder that is YouTube you can watch ASIMO's conducting debut.
