Honda seems to have gone a bit CR-Z crazy this year at the SEMA Show, filling its booth to the brim with modified examples of its CR-Z sports hybrid.
With seriously upgraded power and handling, the CR-Z Hybrid R Concept car represents the sort of sports hybrid that many enthusiasts would love for Honda to build.

The Hybrid R is more powerful than the standard CR-Z thanks to a turbocharger for its gasoline engine and an output boost to its IMA hybrid drive system.
The upshot of these power mods is 200 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque. That sort of output places the Hybrid R in the same class as the Honda Civic Si.
The Hybrid R also has an upgraded suspension and a full aerodynamics kit. Upgraded brakes, clutch, and a limited slip differential on the front axle are par for the course.
The HPD CR-Z Racer is a track-ready hybrid that pushes Honda's IMA system to its limits.
The Racer features a stripped interior and a full roll cage, as well as the performance upgrades found in the Hybrid R Concept.
As with the Civic Si and the Fit, Honda is making accessories from its Mugen division available for the CR-Z.
Although Mugen is best known by tuners for its high-quality performance upgrades, the Mugen kit for the CR-Z, disappointingly, consists purely of styling upgrades.
Honda will only be making 300 examples of the full Mugen kit.
With suspension component manufacturer Eibach at the helm of this tuned CR-Z, you can be sure that its handling hasn't been sacrificed for style.
The Konig CR-Z features a roof rack (being put to good use here) and an upgraded audio system that includes an external speaker pod on its rear bumper.
Huge wheels, low suspension, and upgraded stereo components characterize this CR-Z modified by DSO Eyewear.
With a unique satin finish and a serious interior upgrade, the Samurai Gold CR-Z by Fortune Motorsports is completely understated.
This CR-Z by Bisimoto Engineering features an eye-catching color and a wild graphics package.
This custom features carbon fiber bits from Seibon (including its prominent hood) and an assortment of suspension and rolling stock upgrades.
The Wraptivo CR-Z gets a full vinyl wrap with a matte black finish. To tell the truth, even we weren't sure at first if that hood was actually carbon fiber or just wrapped to look like it. (It's real.)
