GLC-Class Coupe is Mercedes-Benz's answer to BMW's X4 (pictures)
If you want a compact SUV with swoopy-coupe styling, Mercedes has something that might pique your interest.
Is the standard GLC-Class a bit too "normal" for you? The GLC-Class Coupe fixes that with a far sportier look.
The rear end's aggressive roofline mimics the style of the GLE-Class Coupe, and its overall look can be traced back to the S-Class Coupe.
While the two cars do look very similar, the GLC Coupe is actually longer and lower than the standard GLC.
Otherwise, though, the GLC and GLC Coupe are nearly the same vehicle.
The GLC-Class Coupe comes in two distinct trims, the GLC300 and the Mercedes-AMG GLC43.
The GLC300 wields a 241-horsepower, turbocharged four-cylinder engine mated to a nine-speed transmission and standard all-wheel drive (RWD is available on the non-coupe GLC300).
The GLC43 turns up the performance wick with a 362-horsepower, twin-turbocharged V6, also mated to a nine-speed automatic and all-wheel drive.
In advance of the federal mandate, the GLC-Class Coupe comes standard with a backup camera.
Both GLC Coupe trims come standard with Mercedes' Collision Prevention Assist Plus to help cut down on the number of accidents.
Buyers can opt to equip their GLC Coupes with the brand's full suite of active and passive safety systems, including full-speed adaptive cruise control.
It's a handsome crossover, no two bones about it.
The interior borrows its design language from the C-Class.
AMG models, naturally, receive several specific updated pieces to reflect the car's sportier inclinations.
Both variants will arrive in dealerships in early 2017, and pricing is not yet finalized.
