Ford's new Evos concept represents much more than a new design or vehicle platform; it is intended to show off a unified vision for future Ford technology. Ford wants to show how its technology can fit in with your everyday life.

The Evos concept is certainly a good-looking car, but Ford says it is not a predecessor to an actual production vehicle. However, it does demonstrate some refinement of Ford's design language.

These thin headlights are supposed to represent an actual element of future Ford designs, along with other strong, geometric shapes around the car.

The Evos represents Ford's electrification strategy by using its new plug-in hybrid power train. This system uses a lithium ion battery pack, and will first appear in the Ford C-Max Energi in 2012.

Multiple gull-wing doors are definitely a concept element for the Evos, giving the car some flash, but they're unlikely to ever be used in a production car from Ford.

Pedestal-mounted buckets in front and contoured buckets in the rear only allow seating for four. The driver's seat is called out in red, signifying its importance.

Ford imagines quite a few technological innovations in the Evos. It would be cloud-connected, with smart features to adapt to its owner. For example, knowing the owner's calendar, it would anticipate when it is likely to be driven by heating up the cabin.

The car would also have a number of adaptive drive technologies. Learning the owner's driving style and also knowing what types of roads it is being driven on, it could adjust engine response, steering, and suspension.
