Coda EVs roll off assembly line to waiting customers (photos)
Coda Automotive has started to deliver its all-electric, five-passenger, midsize sedan over the weekend to initial customers. All early reservation holders were selected based on the vehicle specifications they requested. Each will receive a numbered plaque located on the center console and custom keychain.
The 31kWh Coda can deliver 88 miles per charge on average, but depending on driving habits, it can be driven up to 125 miles on one charge.
The Coda is powered by a lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery pack that comes with a 10-year, 100,000-mile limited battery warranty.
The Coda features active thermal management system, which provides constant battery care by keeping the battery pack at its optimum temperature in hot and cold weather conditions.
The Coda has 6.6kW onboard charging capability that provides a full charge in about 6 hours on 240-volt (Level 2 EVSE) charging.
In California, federal and state tax savings and credits could bring the price down to $27,250.
The first 500 units come with limited-edition features to signify that the EVs are among the first Codas to hit the road.
