BMW's latest performance diesel has a quad-turbo engine
Bugatti, eat your heart out. (Not really.)

Do you like diesel wagons?
Well, if you live in the US, you're going to have to admire from afar.
The BMW M550d xDrive is the automaker's latest performance diesel.
Its 3.0-liter I6 diesel engine puts out about 400 horsepower and 561 pound-feet of torque.
Whereas the last BMW I6 diesel had three turbochargers, this one has four.
One high-pressure unit starts spinning, then it's aided by two low-pressure turbochargers, with yet another high-pressure turbo kicking in after that.
Of course, it's still a BMW, so it's loaded with all sorts of fancy trimmings.
Those are some real pretty seats.
It wouldn't be a BMW M product without a whole crapload of badges, too.
You can't see much through an engine cover, sadly.
