BMW 8 Series Concept is a two-door beauty
New concept revives BMW's 8 Series name and previews new production coupe that's slated to land in 2018.

BMW will reveal the Concept 8 Series this weekend at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este in Italy.
The 8 Series Concept provides a preview of the 8 Series production car, which BMW says will arrive in 2018.
BMW recently announced the demise of the 6 Series coupe, which the 8 Series will essentially replace at the German automaker's flagship two-door model.
Out back, the 8 Series Concept features L-shaped light housings that dramatically extend into the rear quarter panels and a carbon fiber diffuser for additional styling flash.

Carbon fiber shell sport seats, carbon fiber and aluminum trim and Swarovski glass for the shifter and iDrive controller dress the 8 Series Concept's cabin.
