Blast around the track in the Lotus Exige Cup 380
Built to strike a balance between track day beasts and road cars, the Exige Cup 380 is a screamer of a sports coupe.
Power comes from a 3.5-liter supercharged V6, which puts out 375 horsepower and 302 pound-feet of torque.
Mated to a six-speed manual, it can hit 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds.
That may only be 0.1 seconds quicker than the Exige Sport 380, but it's quicker either way.
The Cup 380 also generates 43 percent more downforce than the Sport 380 -- some 440 pounds' worth.
With a curb weight of just 2,330 pounds, it's also pretty darn light.
Carbon fiber is everywhere, which helps bring the weight down.
Aerodynamic improvements come from additional louvers and cutouts, as well as a repositioned windshield wiper.
Man, that wing is huge.
The interior is properly awesome, a mix of Alcantara suede and carbon fiber.
The gauge cluster has been redesigned for easier reading at a glance.
There's also a dial that will let the driver change how much wheel slip the traction control system permits.
