Audi Q3 Sportback is a rakish little SUV
Audi's Q3 crossover range gets a new, more aerodynamic look.
The next-generation Q3 is just now hitting US dealers this month, but that hasn't stopped Audi from revealing this new slicked-back Q3 Sportback variant.
Expect a bit more style at the expense of a bit of cargo space -- and a few more dollars.
Confirmed for arrival in Europe this fall, Audi is telling us that the new Q3 Sportback is not earmarked for US dealers.
Despite being a small and (relatively) affordable luxury crossover, there's a boatload of tech on offer, including Audi's well-known Virtual Cockpit digital gauge suite, as well as vehicle-to-everything (V2X) connectivity and Amazon Alexa integration.
This cabin should be familiar to anyone who has seen Audi's standard Q3.
While cargo room behind the second row of seats is the same as the conventional Q3, if you fold down the rear seats (which also slide back and forth), you're still down 5 cubic feet on the regular model.
The Q3 Sportback will compete head-on with BMW's X2 and the Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class range.
The new Q3 Sportback will be offered in both front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations.
Lucky European buyers will get a choice of a range of gas and diesel engines, along with the choice of a six-speed manual or a dual-clutch gearbox.
The Q3 Sportback is fitted with standard sports suspension, but a comfort-oriented setup can be selected, too.
Adaptive dampers are optional.
All-LED illumination is standard, but there are three different levels of lighting packages available, too.
