2022 Lexus ES 300h F Sport: Looks can be deceiving

The Lexus ES has been updated for 2022.

The biggest change this comfort-focused sedan has received is the addition of a new touchscreen, which is more than 4 inches closer to the driver. 

This panel makes it easier to interact with the infotainment system.

Unfortunately, the 2022 Lexus ES 300h's infotainment system still leaves a lot to be desired, and it still has a hateful trackpad on the console. 

Under the hood, this hybrid sedan features a four-cylinder engine and a couple of electric motors. All told, this drivetrain delivers an adequate 215 horsepower.

There's plenty of legroom in the backseat, though headroom is at a premium. 

The ES 300h is available in a more aggressive-looking F Sport trim for 2022, which includes a mesh grille texture and 19-inch wheels. 

This car's proportions are still clearly front-wheel drive.

The trunk is large, but there's no fold-down backrest, hampering versatility.
